The first thing I would like to do is thank Dr.Levin and all of his staff for a very successful surgery and giving us Our Little Miracle.
My husband and I dated for a few years before getting married in August of 2007. I had been married previously and had two children from that marriage. After the birth of my second child, I had decided that I wanted to have a tubal ligation. I had many doubts about having the tubal surgery, but, my marriage was not doing well and that was what I thought was the right thing to do at the time.
After, my marriage ended, Mike and I started dating and a few years later, got married. We had discussed having a baby and searched our local area and throughout the United States for doctors that performed the surgery and that had good success rates. Thatís when we found Dr. Levin and realized that he was the best doctor for the job. His success rates were outstanding and he made the procedure very accommodating to those of us that came from out of town. The hospital and staff were excellent and everything went smoothly.
The surgery was a success and my tubes were open, however, after a year, we were not getting pregnant. I had made an appointment with my doctor after a year of trying and he realized that one of my tubes had formed scar tissue over it and it was not usable and that my progesterone levels were also low. This put a wrench in the plans, but, my doctor then put me on fertility medicine and progesterone. Well, we did this for over a year and had no success. We were getting fed up with trying and I discontinued taking the fertility medicine. Actually, I started going to exercise classes with my children almost 5 days a week and my husband and I basically gave up.
A few months later, I made an appointment with my doctor because I thought I could have been going through early menopause because I had missed my period, that bothered me because I had only missed it two other times in my life and that resulted in my children. But, since we had been trying for so long and had no success, I had thought that there was a bigger underlying problem. Well, there was no underlying problem, I was 7 weeks pregnant!
So, after all the trials and tribulations we had been through, on January 27, 2012, Amber Marie OíKussick arrived at 9:00 A.M., and weighed in at 6lbs 3oz and measured 20 in long.
My husband Mike and I will forever be grateful for Dr. Levinís work and blessing us the privilege of having such a wonderful daughter. She is definitely Our Little Miracle!
