Hi Dr Levin and staff, I just wanted to send you my testimony! Robin and Joel Smith we had our tubal reversal on July 23, 2009. Like so many others who have had or considered a tubal reversal I too had a bad marriage early on in life and decided to have a tubal ligation done when I was 24 years old. I had two sons and thought that would be all for me.

I always wanted another baby, but hadn't given it much thought until 2006 when I met my husband and love of my life. He is a few years younger than me and as our relationship grew we discussed children and my inability to have anymore. At first he was ok with this and decided he didn't need any children of his own. A few months before we got married God revealed to me that we were going to have a child. Unknown to me at that time that my husband had been praying about if we should have children or not. When I told him, he was so happy that God had answered his prayer.

We had already found Dr L. on the Internet in 2007 and began looking into having the surgery in 2008. We sent in the first half and scheduled our surgery for December 2008, while I was on a school break. Unfortunately my husband had an accident in August 2008 and was hospitalized for about a week and drained us financially. So we had to put our surgery on hold for the time being.

Once we got back on our feet we rescheduled the surgery for July 23, 2009. We had a six week wait after the surgery before we could start trying. We got pregnant our first month trying but unfortunately we lost the baby at 5 weeks. We were both heart broken but did not give up. Once it was safe to try again we got pregnant again on our first try! We were both on pins and needles during the first trimester and once we breezed past 13 weeks we were ecstatic.

Our precious gift arrived on August 1, 2010 just a little over a year after we had the reversal done! We are so thankful to Dr. L and his staff for putting us back together to make this possible and to God for giving us our beautiful son!

So for all the women out there that think this isn't possible because of age, I was 39 when I had the reversal and found out I was pregnant on my 40th birthday!
