Hi. My name is Kristin, I am 35 years old and I would like to share our story with you. I had my tubes tied when I was 24 years old and after my second child was born. I had a daughter and a son and was quite content on that since I was not married and in a relationship that did not seem to be going anywhere. I had been in this relationship for 10 years and did not think I would ever have the courage to move on to something better.
Well two years later, I moved on and met my husband Will. We married in 2005 and I started looking around for a doctor to perform a tubal reversal in 2006. We procrastinated for awhile and then I realized if we are going to do this then we need to do it now. I was turning 33 and I wanted a baby before I was 35. After searching the internet for doctors we called and spoke with Dr. Levin and I knew instantly that I wanted him to do my surgery. He was so thorough and patient with all of our questions and concerns and very confident.
We flew from California to Kentucky in October 2007 and I was so impressed not only with Dr. Levin but with his staff, the hospital, the hotel accommodations and everything. I had never flown before in my life and I was extremely nervous but let me tell you it was a great experience, not to mention we received something wonderful out of it in return.
Well I had the surgery the end of October and I was pregnant by December. Bad news, it was a tubal pregnancy and a minor setback… the good news, my tubes were functioning and we would try again. We started trying to conceive again in May 2008 and we were pregnant by August.
We had our baby boy DeSean on May 8, 2009 at 6:10am. He was a very healthy boy weighing in at 7 pounds 15 ounces. He is our sweet Angel and we cannot thank Dr. Levin enough for having such a wonderful skill. We want to thank all of you for your warm hearts and compassion. You guys are awesome! Will and I thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this truly special gift we all took some part in creating, our beautiful baby boy DeSean.
Thank You and God bless you all, Will and Kristin Youngblood
