Hi Dr. Levin! I wanted to share my story, of the surgery that changed our lives forever.

I was a 25 year old married mother of two children. My oldest was 8 (daughter), my youngest was 6 (son). I was raped and had become pregnant with my first child at only age 16. And though everyone told me that the best thing to do when I found out I was pregnant, was to give her up for adoption- because I was 16 and just starting my senior year in high school. I was still a "kid" myself - how could I possibly take care of a baby!?! I had a full scholarship to college and the last thing my parents wanted me to do (as would any other parent) was to give my future up and become a mom. I couldn't do that to this little human being growing inside me and wonder where she would be in 20 years - asking how I could give her away - she was the innocent one in this outcome. My parents told me it was my decision and either way, they would back me up 100%. Needless to say, I completely put my future on hold to become a mom at 17. I would not have changed one thing about my decision to this day. That little girl has given me so much strength and will power to conquer anything that life throws my way.

I met the man of my dreams when I was 18 (who is now my husband for almost 8 years!!). We met at work and of course, me being a single mom - and how I become pregnant, I didn't want to get in a relationship with anyone for a long, long time. He broke down the wall that I had built up over those last 2 years and he was becoming a HUGE part of my daughters life as well (who she immediately started calling daddy and ended up adopting her when she was 6). After dating for about 6 months- I decided that I was going to go on the birth control shot - and 3 months after I started the shot - I found out I was pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! Here I was at 18- took all precautions and I still became pregnant. After the birth of our beautiful son - I thought - that was it - I was on one of the most effective birth control contraceptives, and I still got pregnant! So I decided that I wanted to go ahead and get my tubes tied. I could see in my husbands eyes, that he didn't want me to do it - but I had gone through so much in the past couple of years- that he supported my decision 110%. 6 years later - as with everyone else's story - we knew that that decision was best for us then - but not now, we wanted to have at least one more child. So I went to by OB doctor - talked about the options that were best for us - and he told me that either tubal reversal or IVF would be the best. We did a fertility test for IVF, and I was still 99% fertile! BUT - I didn't want to take the chance of becoming a mommy of twins, triplets, quads overnight!! So, the other option was tubal reversal. We checked locally and the price was anywhere between $15,000- $25,000 and there was only a 50% or less success rate. Needless to say, I did the research for months online and came across Dr. Levin's wonderful website. I requested information, talked NUMEROUS times to the ladies at Dr. Levin's office and scheduled a consultation over the phone with Dr. Levin himself. I knew as soon as I got off the phone with him that this was definitely the right decision and the right man to do this.

A couple of weeks later, we sent in our money to schedule the appointment for surgery. I was so nervous!!! On 1/17/07, we flew to Kentucky, stayed in a beautiful hotel and the next day, we were off to the hospital. I have to give my hats off to EVERYONE at the hospital that cared for me. They were sooo nice and did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable in every way. I'm not going to lie - I was in alot of pain the next day - and for about a week and a half after my surgery - but I had a mind set that this pain was only temporary and I need to look forward to the outcome - a new little baby.

Every month- I had become insane with pregnancy tests and ovulation tests - just hoping that one would turn positive but it didn't. I was beginning to think that I was never going to get pregnant and it just wasn't meant to be. Friends and family kept telling me - "Just don't try to get pregnant- it will happen sooner!" Boy- I wish they told me this months ago - because In October 2007(just 9 months after my reversal surgery) that pregnancy test came back positive. I went to my OB - so they could do a firm blood test and it was confirmed. But the joys and happiness went away within exactly 1 week, when I went back in to see if my HCG levels were climbing like they should be in a healthy pregnancy. Instead, they were dramatically declining - and I was miscarrying. I was devistated! I stayed in bed for 2 days straight - wondering why this would happen to me. A month later, I went back to my OB, to make sure nature took it's course and my doctor told me that we could start trying whenever I felt ready.

Boy - was that music to my ears! I thought I would have to wait months before trying again! New Years day, 2008 - I took a pregnancy test and it was POSITIVE!! 9 months later, on 9/26/08, my handsome little Prince, Brody Owen came into this world at 8 lbs, 15oz's and 22 inches long. Best thing to end a perfect story - I was in labor 3 hours- with no IV, no pain medicine and the easiest labor I have had to go through.

I couldn't thank you enough Dr. Levin, for giving us our truly miracle baby. Our family feels so complete and he brings us so much love and joy into our lives already!!!

So my advice to any women out there, who are skeptical or wondering if this is the right thing to do - GO FOR IT! It will be the best thing you could ever spend your money on. And you will definitily be in the best hands for this procedure. Dr. Levin will back you 100% in your success, along with his passion for what he does!

Thanks again Dr. Levin!!!!!!!!!
