Case Facts: Wendy had a modified Pomeroy tubal ligation on March 22, 1991 at the age of 23. On December 18, 2006 she had her tubal reversal. She was 38 years of age. This reversal gave her 6 cm on the right and 7.5 cm. on the left.
Please enjoy Wendy and Curtiss's story in Wendy's own words . . .
On 3/22/1991 after the birth of my 3rd child I had a post-partum tubal ligation. The reason that I had the tubal ligation is not unlike many of the other testimonials on Dr. Levin's web page. I had my first child when I was 19 and by the time I was 23 I had 3 children. At the time birth control pills caused headaches and were not easy for me to take. So instead of adding to my family I decided that I would have my tubes tied. My mom had had her's tied after the birth of my youngest brother and I knew that this procedure would help ensure that I would not be pregnant again.
Of course I did not know what an emotional toll that it would have on me. I had spent many years longing for the ability to have another child and did not think it would ever be possible again.
In 1998 my ex-husband and I divorced. In 2001 I met Curtiss and the longing for another child that I had forced out of my mind came back stronger then ever. Curtiss already had children from a previous marriage so it was not a need to help him with a child but it was more the wanting to have a child with Curtiss because that is what we both wanted.
In 2005 I started doing some research on the web and came across Dr. Levin's web page. What impressed me so much was the way he preformed his surgeries and also the testimonials of so many that had come to see him and then had a successful pregnancy. Curt and I decided we would contact Dr. Levin and so began our journey. I spoke with Dr. Levin and he thought (after seeing my medical records) that I would be a good candidate for the surgery. So we booked a flight and headed to Kentucky to have the surgery done.
I had the surgery December 18, 2006 and by March of 2007 I was pregnant. My pregnancy went well and on November 23, 2007 (not quite a year after my surgery) Curtiss and I welcomed a beautiful baby boy into our lives. His name is Evan Zane and he could not be more perfect!!!
We want to thanks Dr. Levin and all of his staff for helping us on this journey.
