On January 4th 2001, on the day of my second daughter Carmen's birth, I had my tubes tied by my longstanding obstetrician. I was 24 and my Husband was 22 when we decided this and thought it was the right choice considering our very meager financial situation. After the procedure was complete, however, I immediately felt different and knew it was something we should have not done.
I continued to push aside the longing to have another child for nearly 2 years until I could no longer endure the agony on my own. I bared my soul to my husband, who was at first very apprehensive about the issue, but after some thought and consideration, was truly supportive and wonderfully understanding. I did some research on the reversal of a tubal ligation, which I wasn't even sure was possible. I found many different web sites trying to recruit people in small clinics all around the United States. I spent many hours pouring over the material, and the pros and cons of in-vitro fertilization versus a tubal ligation reversal. I even scheduled an appointment with an obstetrition, who told me that in his experience the tubal ligation procedure is tremendously costly and just doesn't work. The ones he'd performed had all ended in miscarriage and there just wasn't a good success rate at all. I was devastated. Finally when I thought all was lost, I found Dr. Levin's website. The sight was so sincere and the information was helpful and honest. I called right away and soon after had a telephone consult with Dr. Levin. He was magnificent. He was warm and friendly. He explained everything to me, and was very thorough and insightful. I scheduled my surgery soon afterward, for July 17th, 2003---Dr. Levin's birthday.
We packed and headed for Louisville, KY where we stayed with relatives. The Surgery went well, though I did have a lot of scar tissue from prior C-sections, which made the repair of my tubes very difficult. Dr. Levin did a superb job and didn't give up even in the face of adversity. My husband was worried, but Dr. Levin gave him lots of information and made him feel a lot better. He was very supportive to both of us and my husband was especially impressed with Dr. Levin's bedside manner and the way he was treated like an important part of the process. I recovered very quickly and was even doing some sightseeing and shopping the day after surgery.
When we returned home to Alaska, we were very optimistic. Dr. Levin made routine calls to check on us and we e-mailed regularly back and fourth. I never failed to receive answers to my questions in a timely manner. He gave us tips and helpful hints on how best to conceive. On October 12th I found out I was pregnant. It was such an exciting and surprising moment. We had never imagined it could happen so soon.
At first there was some concern that I could have a tubal (ectopic) pregnancy, because I was having pain in my left side. Dr. Levin gave me so much support and encouragement. I had an ultrasound per his request and everything was fine. It turned out to be a large cyst in my ovary.
My pregnancy went well and was rather uneventful. I stayed healthy and the baby was quite an active reminder that this truly was a miracle in the making.
On June 28th at 8:30 A.M. I delivered a healthy, beautiful little girl by C-section. We named her Isabella Caprice. She was 7lbs 14oz with lovely blue eyes and brown hair. Everyone is very excited that she is here especially our 3 and 7 year old daughters. Isabella, whom we fondly call ‘Bella’ is truly our miracle baby. Whenever my husband and I look at her we feel this amazing sense of warmth and joy and we know that none of this could be possible without the skill and wonderful devotion of Dr. Levin. Every day I never fail to thank God for this marvelous man and the miraculous work he is doing, giving women a second chance.

Dr. Levin, here is a picture of our Miracle Baby, Jeffery Breton Lambert. Thanks to the Lord answering our prayers, through your hands we were able to conceive quickly. I had my surgery on July 17, 2003. I found out I was pregnant on September 22, 2003 and was five weeks along! I had him on May 13, 2004.
I know the Lord sent your name our way because I found out about your office through a doctor other than my own. I called their office to see if they performed reversals and they recommended you due to your high success rate. Needless to say I took their advice and I'm glad I did!
When I had my C-Section, my doctor said, ‘That is the best reversal I have ever seen. I could barely see where he put the tubes back together’.
SO I know the Lord wanted you to take care of me so I could give my husband the son he has always dreamed of. I look forward to trying to give him a daughter next time. Thanks again for being a wonderful doctor and giving people the chance to have more miracles and make their dreams come true.
By the way, thank you for this present that you gave me on your birthday!!

Our first son together was conceived while I was taking birth control pills; therefore, this was not a planned pregnancy. I wanted to make sure this would not happen again so, I asked the doctor to tie my tubes after the birth of our son. Being parents turned out to be one of the most rewarding and fun times in our lives. We said it would be nice to have another child for our oldest son to play with but we thought once my tubes were tied then having other kids was not possible. We later found out there was a procedure called ‘tubal reversal’. We need the following: a doctor close to where we live, a doctor with high pregnancy rates, and a doctor that was within our budget. Through our research we found Dr. Levin. We called and they set up a consultation. In the consultation Dr. Levin said he could perform the the reversal and his optimism and personality was so great we decided he was the doctor we wanted to perform the ‘tubal reversal’.
The whole surgery setup was very nice. A hotel room close to the hospital for 2 nights was included along with transportation to and from the hospital. Also, Dr. Levin and his nurse came to see me in the hotel room the morning after surgery. After I was able to go home I could call him anytime if I had questions. That was freat because that made me feel like he really cared. Dr. Levin told my husband and I that it would probably take from three to six months to conceive; however, we conceived immediately. We would really like to thank Dr. Levin for the blessing of our second little boy, Trent Daquon Edwards.
