Seven years ago after having my third child out of wedlock, my midwife convinced me that I should tie my tubes. Although I knew that I would have loved to have more kids I trusted her that this was the right thing to do. Almost instantly after coming out surgery I regretted my decision but sucked it up, hoping that the nagging feeling would go away.
Fast forward five years to the summer of 2005, I re-acquainted and married the love of my life, my bestfriend in high school. Almost immediately we talked about what it would be like to have a child from our union.
We began to do internet research and found Dr. Levin along with others. From the very beginning my husband said that he would not gamble my life on a cheap price and considering we did not have thousands of dollars at the time we kept researching the doctors and we narrowed it down to two doctors that we felt comfortable with. We decided that we would pay for it using our flexible spending account via our jobs and decided that 2009 was the year.
We spoke to both the staff at Dr. Levin’s office and the other doctor’s office and although no one was rude to us at either we decided to go with Dr. Levin because of his follow up care.
In March 2009 we drove to Kentucky from Georgia in the snow to have Dr. Levin reconnect my tubes. When we got to the hospital the next day and met Dr. Levin we really felt comfortable with him, he is personable and actually kind of funny.
He answered all of our questions and once the operation was complete explained to my husband how best to take care of me. The next morning true to his word he came and visited us at the hotel and again went over how best to take care of myself. We were told to wait a month and then we could dance.
Well we waited and conceived the very first time.
I gave birth to my baby girl, Jazzmin Leilani on 1/11/2010. We love our baby girl, and we love that Dr. Levin allowed GOD to use his hands to heal my body. We have attached some pictures and even a short video. If people would like to ask questions please feel free to give them my email although to be honest with a newborn it might be hard to get back to them right away.
