My tubes were tied for 10 YEARS, but I was PREGNANT 17 DAYS AFTER my TUBAL REVERSAL with Dr.Levin!!!
 
Now that I have your attention...I would like to share our story with everyone! ;) Hi! My name is Nicole and I am 33 years young :) Like most women seeking a tubal ligation reversal, I originally had my tubes tied while in a difficult marriage. After the procedure was performed (during the C-section birth of my son, Alex in 1998)I was POSITIVE that I had made the right decision.
 
I filed for divorce a few years later and was left to raise Alex and his older sister, Hannah without help from their father. In Oct.2003 my daughter, Hannah (age 8) was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (cancer). She was required to complete 2 ½ years of chemotherapy treatments. It was during this time that I met my best friend, Casey and we fell in love. Casey didn't have biological children, but he always treated my children as his own. Casey and I were married on March 18th 2007 and immediately began researching Tubal Reversal vs IVF. After one year of research we decided on Tubal Ligation and knew without hesitation that Dr.Levin was going to be my doctor!
 
We made an appointment with a local gynecologist to discuss our decision and perform a semen analysis. I left the gynecologists office in tears after sarcastically being asked very hurtful questions such as; “Why would you even consider using a doctor who must advertise on the Internet?” and “Why on earth would you even try to have another child, when your daughter has cancer?” The doctor also told me that my chances of becoming pregnant with IVF or Reversal were "slim to none":( I was very upset, but reminded myself that God performs miracles every day and that my daughter(now 13 years old and in remission) was my living proof!
 
On March 30,2008 my husband,Casey and I flew from Jackson, Mississippi to Dr.Levin's hospital in Kentucky. I had my reversal surgery on March 31st 2008 and everything went wonderfully. The morning after surgery Dr.Levin came to check on me at our hotel.
 
My husband and I both agree that Dr.Levin was one of the nicest people we had ever met! He has such a genuine personality:) Dr.Levin spent a great amount of time explaining the outcome of my surgery, answered all of our questions honestly and still had time to laugh, joke and discuss work,sports etc. with the hubby;)~ lol It was like we were in the company of a close friend, rather than a stranger. After returning home we began using a ovulation testing kit.
 
I had a positive pregnancy test on 4/27/08!
 
On December 22Th 2008, Connor Cade Dickerson arrived weighing a healthy 8 pounds and 20 inches.
 
Connor is heaven sent and we feel sooo BLESSED to have our beautiful baby boy!

Hi DR.Levin! Its me again,Nicole:) I am so sorry...I forgot to mention some very important facts in my testimonial that was sent about 2 weeks ago...v (1) At the time of my reversal surgery.....My husband, Casey worked as a Driller in Saudi Arabia (His schedule consisted of 32 days working in Saudi Arabia and only 27 days home)
 
So basically~ We had another strike against us when trying to conceive...considering the fact that my husband was home "less than" 6 months out of the year! Yet,we beat those odds as well! ;o)~ LOL
 
(2) I don't know if this is important to explain, but I will go ahead and let you know just in case... I started my period on April 1st,2008 (the DAY AFTER you performed my tubal reversal surgery on March 31st, 2008) After my period ended, I began using a CLearBlue ovulation kit. On April 17th, 2008 the ovulation test was POSITIVE. We had "relations" that very same day and that was when our sweet Lil' Connnor was conceived:) It was great timing because my husband was leaving on a plane headed to work the very next morning!!
 
On the morning of April,27Th 2008,I had a POSITIVE home pregnancy test! My husband was still at work overseas and his offshore employer does not allow phone calls to the Oil RIG (unless its an emergency). Well,this was an emergency to me;o)~ I called and asked him to open his email while we were on the phone. Attached to the email was a photograph of my positive pregnancy test and the words "CONGRATULATIONS DADDY!" :) HE WAS THRILLED TO SAY THE LEAST!!! lol
