Case Facts: In 2000, at the age of 22, Deanna Rublee was sterilized with the Pomeroy method of sterilization. Her doctor removed 1.0 cm and 0.7 cm of fallopian tube. In 2005, she arrived in Kentucky for her reversal with Dr. Levin. Dr. Levin worked very hard to detach her fallopian tubes from dense scar tissue. My reversal story starts as so many others do. I married young, had baby #2 when I was 22. I had my tubes tied during my c-section, certain I wanted no more children. About 6 months later, I was in the middle of a nasty divorce! Once I met my now husband, I was devastated that he would never have a chance to experience pregnancy, childbirth, and the first year! I did some research and found Dr. Levin. We applied for the loan Dr. Levin's site recommended. It was accepted but days later, my husband got his IRR recall back to Active Duty Army, after being out for 18 months. Luckily, he did not have to go back but our opportunity for the loan had passed. The desire remained, though. A year later, during the summer of 2005, things fell into place and I scheduled my reversal for 12/12/05. I was so nervous. The day of surgery, everything was so calm and everyone was wonderful. My surgery was a success! I awoke with 8 cm-right and 6 cm-left. I had to wait 6 weeks for trying to conceive because of a more difficult repair. I waited, although it was pure torture. He had given me about an 80% chance of conceiving!! My six weeks was up 1/23/2006. I was crushed when I wasn't pregnant that cycle. However, 2/22/2006 is the last period I've had!!!! We had conceived on my husband's birthday (or really close to it) in March. I was due 11/28/2006. Dr. Levin and Melanie were great, ordering blood work and ultrasounds! When Delaney Abigail was born November 9th, 2006, she was put into NICU for respiratory problems. My husband had sent an email to everyone, including Dr. Levin. Imagine my surprise when my cell phone rang and it was Dr. Levin! He had called to check on my little angel. His caring truly does not stop after you have surgery! I was deeply touched by his concern! She was released a week later and has been a joy to our family. Fast forward to October 2007... I was still breastfeeding, no period yet. I periodically took HPT's (I think I was a little addicted to those things!) and I was shocked to see two lines! Once again, Dr. Levin set up blood tests for me! This time, I had ultrasounds through my local doctor but I knew if I had any issues, Dr. Levin would only be an email or call away!!! TR baby #2, a boy this time, was born on June 17, 2008. Landry James is a wonderful addition to our family! I went to Dr. Levin hoping and praying for one little miracle. Instead, we have been blessed with 2! Almost exactly two and a half years after my surgery, I had two babies! Not bad, huh?? I now have 2 boys and 2 girls!! We are finally complete and won't be having any more babies but I will forever be grateful to Dr. Levin and God for my two miracles! Deanna and Daniel Rublee |
