The testimonial below is the eleventh in a series of remarks from real people who found Dr. Richard Levin on the Internet and have had a tubal ligation reversal. Lynn and Rock Dearfield of Lilburn, Georgia have been so kind to allow us to share their story with other couples who are thinking of having a tubal ligation reversal and they have consented to accept your email inquires at: dearfields@aol.com. Lynn and Rich, thank you so very much for sharing your joy with all of us!
Case Facts: Lynn had previously had a Pomeroy tubal ligation at the time of a Cesarean Section in 1993. The pathology showed 1.0 cm was removed from one tube and 1.5 from the other tube. At age 36, Lynn had her tubal reversal by Dr. Levin on 7/10/2000 with tube lengths of 6.5 cm on each side. Lynn and Rock had their baby Caleb Bruce McCheyne Dearfield on March 14, 2002.
Dear Dr. Levin,
My husband and I have been very happily married for 15 years now. After the birth of our second child we both felt that our family was complete. Our daughter was born by scheduled C-section so our doctor said he would go ahead and do a tubal. We agreed. When my doctor walked in and said my tubes had been cut and burned, even though I had agreed, I immediately felt a sense of loss. I realized, too late, that maybe I did want at least one more child. I mourned every month for seven years on what might have been.
My husband knew how I felt and encouraged me to investigate our options. That is when I phoned your office. Everyone there was helpful and hopeful. On July 7, 2000 we had surgery to reverse the tubal. Right now I'm looking at my beautiful baby boy with tears in my eyes. I think God every day for Caleb and now I want to thank you, too Dr. Levin.
I've enclosed pictures of Caleb and feel free to use any part of our letter. God bless you and your staff.
