Let me begin this wonderful TR journey by saying that Prayers are answered and Dreams do come true. My family is living proof of that. In Dec. 2001 I married the most wonderful man in the world. He’s a SGT. In the United States Army and has served his country proudly for 12 yrs. He had no children of his own, I have 2 sons from a previous marriage. I had my tubes tied in 1993 regretting it almost immediately BUT it was to late to change what had been done. At the time it was the best decision for me and my children.
When Jason and I became engaged we started talking about getting my tubes reversed, at the time I really thought it was not possible and we were both dreaming of something that would never happen. So I decided to research the net and found the most awesome site. Dr. Richard Levins!! I immediately called my husband and told him it WAS possible and what needed to be done for us to have the TR. We were stationed in Hawaii by then and I began to make arrangements to have the TR ..ASAP!! We so wanted a child together and it was consuming the both of us. One thing we did know was our love deserved to be shared with a child of our own. In June 2002 I flew 5000 miles and drove another 500 to meet Dr. Levin and have this surgery done. I had spoken with Dr. L. many times on the phone and he was always so sweet and informative. I couldn’t wait to meet him and his staff. It was happening!! Now it WOULD be possible for us to have the baby we both wanted so badly.
I had 4.5 cm. on the left t and 6 on the right. The TR was a success!! We began TTC in July and it seemed as though it would never happen. I would email Dr. Levin and he would say it WILL happen just relax. In Jan. 2003 after 7 mths. TTC I had an HSG done it showed my right tube blocked. I remember the Dr. telling us it only takes one tube. I felt helpess, hopeless and so heartbroken. In Feb. 2003 we were being stationed here in Ga. and that month I did RELAX and didn’t chart, temp, or stress. I was put on Clomid that month. We arrived in Ga. Feb. 24th 2003 and on March 16, 2003 My wonderful husbands 30th birthday we found out we were pregnant!! It was finally happening, our dreams were becoming reality. On November 15th 2003 at 5:02 p.m. Chandler Paul Verhine was born weighing 6 lbs. 14 oz. 20” long. He’s our miracle baby. Our Blessing that we never gave up hope of having. He was welcomed home by big brothers Brandon 13 and Chris 10. Thanks to Dr. Levin and his abilities we have our “lil man” here, safe, and healthy. Don’t give up on your hopes and dreams. I look at Chandler and can honestly say I do believe in Miracles.!
From my family to yours..
God Bless, Bonnie Verhine
