Case Facts: On July 19, 1993, at the age of 26, Michelle had a "bilateral partial salpingectomy (Pomeroy tubal ligation) with 1.0 cm removed from both tubes. In March and June of 2002, Michelle had two failed IVF cycles in Olympia Washington. She then found Dr. Richard Levin on the Internet and had a bilateral microsurgical tubal anastomosis performed by Dr. Levin on August 26, 2002 and had tube lengths of 7.0 cm on the right and 7.5 cm on the left. Dear Dr. Levin, Today is my one year anniversary for tubal reversal surgery with you. I waited until this day to write my testimony. I do hope you will share it with others. I have often wondered what I would share for my testimony. I didn't want to sound just like all of the other stories...tubes tied, found great doctor, had TR surgery, got pregnant and now have our own TR baby.....it all sounds so contrite, so story book....so happy ever after sounding.....like, yeah right, maybe for them, but what about me??!! We all have dreams. We share one of them or else you would not be reading this particular testimony at this time....and that is to have a second chance at conceiving. That was our dream too. Dr. Levin gave us that chance. I found him on the H1. After researching facilities across the country, I found Dr. Levin and emailed him. Within hours, he called me. He answered my questions. He was funny. He was personable. I liked that. I felt comfortable with him right away, however, I still researched the Jewish Hospital, called them and asked about Dr. Levin, if he was on staff...he was. I called either Harvard or Yale (can't remember which) to confirm his Fellowship with them.....it was confirmed.....I called one of his patients I met on-line who had just had surgery and was recovering at the Jewish Inn to ask her if it really looked like the pictures on theon-linet....and it did. I did my homework....! I scheduled my telephone consult, then the surgery. We borrowed the money and are still making payments....an investment well worth it. I felt 100% confident in his skills, his compassion as a doctor. On August 26, 2002, I met Dr. Levin and his wonderful assistant for the first time, minutes before surgery. Sounds crazy, but I knew I was in good hands. And I was. The surgery went well. He does great work. When we conceived less than a month later, Dr. Levin was readily available for support and a plan to follow. Since we did conceive so quickly, I was closely monitored back home in case of a tubal pregnancy. Dr. Levin wanted updates to stay informed. He is an incredible physician. I don't know of any other like him. All was perfect. Our son was born on June 18th, 2003. I ended up with a c-section (surprise!) and one comment my doctor said was this "There is virtually no scar tissue from your TR surgery and your tubes look great! Will you be doing this again next year?!" My husband and I, including my 3 dear daughters, ages 16, 12 and 10, are just loving this precious little baby boy. His name means 'gift from the Lord'. Matthew. I feel so blessed to have found Dr. Levin and to have what I consider the best surgeon restore me so I could have a chance at conceiving. Thank you Dr. Levin. If they lined up all the TR surgeons in the world and said I could pick any one of them, I'd choose Dr. Levin, and I did.

The bottom three pictures show #2 Reversal Baby Jasmine! Jan 18, 2005, we were blessed with our 2nd TR baby, our precious little girl Jasmine. She and her older brother are 1 1/2 years apart. We feel so fortunate to have these blessed babies in our lives. At one time in our lives, we didn't believe it would happen for us. It was made possible by finding the best skilled surgeon (Dr. Levin) to restore my tubes that put us back in the world of "trying to conceive." I whole-heartedly encourage any woman who is thinking about having TR surgery to hold on to her hopes and dreams .....and to go for it if possible. I would do it all over again and am glad I listened to my gut and chose TR with Dr. Levin over one last IVF treatment. Amen!!!
